Nomadix Hospitality Application
Nomadix offers its Nomadix Service EngineTM (NSE) software on our family of Access Gateways which provide a full suite of features and functionality tailored for hotels deploying wired or wireless (Wi-FiTM) High-speed Internet Access (HSIA) for their guests.
Nomadix recommends the AG 5000 running the NSE for deployment in mid to large hotels. For smaller HSIA deployments at properties less than 200 rooms, Nomadix offers the NSE running on the HSG delivering all the benefits of the NSE but on a more cost effective platform. For hotels wishing to deploy HSIA in lobby areas, meeting rooms or to a small number of guest rooms, the AG 2100 combines the NSE and a high-performance access point to create a HotSpot in a box. In addition to the NSE Core features, Nomadix offers a series of Modules to further enhance the service offering:
- Hospitality Module: Provides a wide range of Property Management System (PMS) interfaces to enable in-room guest billing for HSIA service. This module also includes 2-Way PMS interface for in-room billing in a Wi-Fi enabled network. The Module also uses “Bill Mirror” functionality for posting of billing records to multiple sources. The NSE supports billing over a TCP/IP connection to select PMS interfaces.
- Credit Card Module: Provides a secure interface over SSL to enable billing via a credit card for HSIA. This Module also includes the Bill Mirror functionality for posting of billing records to multiple sources.
- Daily off-site automatic backup of hotel database
- Restore Emergency service in case of server failure on site, i.e. in hotel.

Because only a small part of your files are used daily, it is not necessary to create a full backup every day. The TecHotel Backup Software checks which files have been used After being compressed and encrypted, these files and are backed up, and uploaded to the datacentre. Once a week the Online Backup software will create a full backup. And this will be uploaded to our datacentre during the night, so your employees don't experience a loss of bandwidth. Because of the special TecHotel Online Backup Software for databases, it also supports the backup of Medallion and Squirrel databases. The backups will both be saved in the central datacentre and a copy will be stored locally. You will always have two backups, one in our datacentre and one locally. The Online Backup Client will, depending on the available bandwidth of your internet connection, find a proper balance between the bandwidth uses for backup and the available bandwidth for your employees to use the Internet. This load balancing is completely autonomously noticed by the system and prevents You'll hardly notice that a backup runs on the background.
If you choose to use TecHotel Online Backup, your data is safely stored. Also, the Sulcus Support Team is able to act more quickly to problems. Because there is no unnecessary delay due to uploading data to our offices.
